NINE2025

The 1st International Conference on Research in Artistic Processes and Projectual Methodologies is envisioned as a space for reflection and exchange dedicated to artistic and design research practices. Focused in areas such as architecture, visual arts, design, curatorial studies, literature, and sound – among other forms of expression – the conference affirms the central role of art in knowledge production. Artistic research is here understood as a process that interweaves thought and action, engaging not only aesthetics and technique, but also cultural, social, ethical, and existential dimensions. 

Submission Guidelines

All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. The following paper categories are welcome:

• Short papers (Note from the organisation: based on the initial abstract submissions, we will select the articles to be published in full paper format in the NINE journal, scheduled for release in May 2026)
• Academic or artistic posters dedicated to process documentation (a selection will also be published in NINE journal)
• Audiovisual, visual or sound essays
• Workshop proposals (individual or collective)
